Art Direction for Valentine's Day

I created a Valentine’s Day campaign for Kiehl’s, simplifying their detailed print artwork for a cleaner digital look. I applied the updated key visual to the home page banner, email header, and pagebreaker banners, using decorative elements to style the email for a cohesive theme. The project involved collaboration, planning, and delivering assets—plus, it was a blast working with such fun, vibrant illustrations!

Creating the key visual was all about balance. I took Kiehl’s original print artwork—full of intricate details—and simplified it to align with UX/UI principles, making it more digestible for users, especially on mobile. I kept the charm of the design while ensuring it worked seamlessly across banners, emails, and more. It was a fun challenge to adapt something beautiful into a user-friendly digital piece!

This campaign was such a fun and collaborative effort! I couldn’t have brought this cute, vibrant Valentine’s Day project to life without the amazing teamwork at Kiehl’s—shoutout to the production graphic designer, my senior art director for guidance, the branding team behind the original artwork, the digital marketing team for organized briefs, the copywriters, UX/UI collaborators, and so many others across departments. It was a true group effort, and I’m so proud of what we created together.
