Art Direction for Avo Eye

I worked on a campaign for Kiehl’s Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado (or as we called it, Avo Eye). Since the formula now included caffeine, the ‘big idea’ was all about the ‘wake-up’ effect. I pitched the concept of an avocado alarm clock, which got the green light! The branding team polished up the idea, and I used the final artwork to create the homepage banner, email, and pagebreaker banners. It was a fun way to highlight the new formula!

Creating the key visual was a rewarding process! I spent time exploring, sketching, and refining the ‘avocado alarm clock’ concept to highlight the new caffeine ingredient. After presenting my ideas, I collaborated with the branding team to polish the design, then adapted it for banners, emails, and more. It was a great experience to work beyond the ecom team and see the concept come to life!

I’m so grateful I got to concept for this campaign and see my avocado alarm clock idea come to life! Of course, it wasn’t a solo effort—huge thanks to the branding team for bringing me in, my senior art director for guidance, the copywriters, UX/UI collaborators, the digital marketing team, and everyone else at Kiehl’s who helped make it happen. It was a true team effort, and I’m proud of what we created together!
